Appearance

Show full screen. This option will cause ThumbsPlus to display the slide show in full screen. When unchecked, the slide show will run in a window.

Stretch bitmaps to screen. Causes ThumbsPlus to stretch images to fill the screen as much as possible.

Reduce bitmaps to screen. Similar to Stretch except that only bitmaps larger than the screen are resized. Bitmaps smaller than the screen size are centered.

Resample when reduced. Check this option to resample (properly interpolates colors) when reducing an images.

Interpolate when stretched. Check this option to perform Bi-linear pixel interpolation when stretching images to fit the screen. This results in smoother color representation, but slightly slower display times. See also: View Window - Transform | Resize for more information on pixel interpolation in ThumbsPlus.

Maintain original aspect ratios. When stretching bitmaps, ThumbsPlus will ensure that the width-to-height ratio remains constant, rather than distorting the image.

Enable color management. Enables Windows color management in the slide show.

Slide show monitor. Available in multiple monitor mode ONLY. Select which monitor(s) you want to use for the slide show. This option works with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP only. The available options are: # (specific monitor), (all) image is stretched across all monitors, and (same) the image is stretched across only the monitor in which the main ThumbsPlus is displayed.

Options

Slide Show Timing Mode (Manual, Timed Delay, Audio Wait or Audio Matched). Use this dropdown list to select the desired method of delay between images displayed during the slide show.

Manual mode will not automatically advance the image files - user intervention via keyboard arrows, space and backspace, or left and right mouse buttons is required.

Timed Delay mode will wait a fixed amount of time and then automatically display the next image. Enter the amount of time in seconds (decimal values are allowed)  in the edit field to the right.

Audio Wait mode will look for any audio files in the folder or selection preceding any groups of image files and calculate how long each image slide should display based on the playback length of the audio divided by number of images found after it (up to the next audio file in the folder or selection).

Audio Matched mode will play an audio file (.MP3, .WAV, .MID) whose name (excluding extension) matches the currently displayed image file name. Once the audio file has completed playback the slide show will advance to the next file. If no audio file exists for the current image file, then the Timed Delay mode timeout is used before slide advancement occurs.

Note: When not running in Manual mode, any mouse button click will exit the slide show and return to ThumbsPlus.

Include transition time. Check this option to include the transition duration in the delay specified for the Timed Delay mode. If unchecked, the delay count will start after the transition has completed.

Play background audio file. Check this option to have ThumbsPlus play a background audio file named: slide.mid, slide.wav or slide.mp3 during the slide show. The audio file must be located in the same folder as the image files used for the slide show.

Build bitmaps from metafiles. When this checkbox is selected, ThumbsPlus will build an in-memory bitmap from a metafile before displaying it. This eliminates watching the metafile draw.

Random order. The list of file names will be shuffled before the slide show begins.

Include sub-folders. Causes ThumbsPlus to perform a slide show of all images in the current folder and any of its sub-folders. When this option is checked, the selected files are ignored and all files show.

Loop at end of show. Causes ThumbsPlus to continue the slide show starting again with the first file in the folder or selection.

Skip files smaller than. When selected, ThumbsPlus will not display raster images smaller than the entered size (width and height).

Reverse mouse buttons. Select this option to reverse the function of the left and right mouse buttons when navigating through a slide show. When reversed, the left mouse button shows the previous slide and the right mouse button shows the next slide.

Hide cursor. Hides the mouse cursor during the slide show.

Transition

Type. Select the transition effect to use between slides.

Speed. Select a relative speed from 1 (fastest) to 10 (slowest) for the transition display.

Direction. Selection the direction for the desired transition effect.
